Piercing Guide
Here's a quick guide to different piercings and their placements on the ear. We also explain some measurement terms we use on the website such as gauge and diameter.
1. STANDARD LOBE
The most common piercing - a single hole in each earlobe. We recommend hoops and studs for the lobe.
Healing time: 3-6 months
2. HELIX
A cartilage piercing at the top of the ear. We recommend flatback studs or our range of segment hinge rings.
Healing time: 6-12 months
3. FORWARD HELIX
A cartilage piercing at the top front of the ear. We recommend out flatback studs and cartilage bars.
Healing time: 3-9 months
4. ROOK
A piercing in the thick fold of cartilage on the upper inside of the ear. We recommend our specifically designed rook earrings.
